(“To take the cake”:  an expression meaning, “to be especially good or outstanding”)

Contest is open to students in 1st – 12th grades, parents, and staff.

Elementary students are competing collectively, by grade. Each grade requires at least 5 participating parents in order to enter the contest. Parents, support your students! Read a biography and turn in to the library a short report form available from your child’s teacher.

Middle and high school students as well as all adults are competing individually. The person who reads the most pages of age-appropriate biographies for his/her category will be the winner in that category.

Categories are:

  • Middle School
  • High School
  • Adult

Prizes: Large, delicious cakes!
